China is poised to become one of 5G’s leading markets, enabled in large part by the volume and density of the 4G network that the country has already built out. ED Commissions US$23,6m Internet Backbone

President Mnangagwa yesterday commissioned the US$23,6 million National Backbone Fibre Link in Beitbridge set to boost the country’ Information Communication Technology capacity and status as a regional communications hub. The link connects Beitbridge with Bulawayo, Harare, Masvingo and the rest of the country using underground cables. Facebook is taking legal action against a cluster of Chinese websites that sell fake accounts, likes and followers both on Facebook itself and on Instagram. President Mnangagwa yesterday launched the India-Africa Incubation Centre in Harare which he described as a key conduit that will drive the modernisation and industrialisation of the economy.
